The bug hunter (Jenny) was out somewhere but not spotted and big guns Nigel was looking for a new car while running as Jenny keeps scratching the old one!! Think you will be safe with a smart car or Fiat 500, surely Jenny cant scratch them parking in the garage :-)
Anyway back to the Clubhouse, one group, consisting of Steve Ray (not the hard version today), Rosie, whoops sorry mean Alan Potter, Bob and Mel (me heel hurts), they done a nice 15 miles all in training for marathons. They were joined by the flyer, Caroline Tuck for 10 miles who then said her goodbyes and sped off not knowing that she had killed Steve and Alan with her pace lol, This was brought to my attention by super grass Mick Pegnall whom Alan said don't tell anyone lol, moral of the story don't tell Mick anything!!
By the sounds of things Caroline's training is going superbly and will be hoping to smash the sub 3hr barrier on her next marathon. Something i think she will do as she seems to glide along effortlessly when you watch her. So go Caroline, were all rooting for you :-)
Back at the clubhouse another two groups had formed, Anne, Keith (i think that's his name), and Timi who arrived Starsky and Hutch style in the car park, she likes to make an entrance, they trotted off for a 13 miler. Mick Pegnall (nobby no mates) trotted off for a 10 miler on his own, which left me with the gorgeous angels Nadine and Amy for a little 4.5 miler. Was great to see Amy at the club, haven't seen her running for a while and she's still faster than me with that time off lol.
On our little run we saw the Jedi Master Obi Wan Cardnell on his little 17 miler, he gave us a wave then upped his pace as a little dog started barking at him lol , he was running scared :-)
Well once we had all finished we bumped into David and John who had a little run over the chase and then it was back in the club house for a few of us for a drink and munch, sorry no pics as we was stuffing our faces :-)
Further a field ultra nutters Kaz Hurrell and Amanda Heslegrave were competing in the Quadzilla, 4 marathons in 4 days!! yes you read that right. Despite the artic conditions they both completed all 4 marathons and have now earned a drink or two or sleep...
CONGRATULATIONS, YOU TWO ARE INSPIRATIONAL
